Resources for Sunday Evening's PalTalk Discussion

I definitely have opinions about this subject. However, I am hoping to provide an evenhanded discussion of the issues. The links on this post cover all the positions of which I am aware.

I intend to heavily moderate the discussion this evening. I DO NOT intend to stifle ideas. I do intend to assure that discourse remains respectful and friendly.

The first links I recommend to you are from the Karaite group

Abib Found! New Moon Sited! Calendar Set for Spring Feasts!

Abib was found by Nehemia Gordon's group in Israel on March 8 and forward. You Can see the pics of abib barley at http://www.karaite-korner.org/abib/2005/

Also, the New Moon was sited on the 11th, making the 12th Rosh Chodesh Abib.

Thus the spring festival calendar is as follows:

Passover - Evening of March 25, 2005

1st Unleavened Bread - Saturday March 26, 2005

7th Unleavened Bread - Friday April 1, 2005

Shavuot - May 15, 2005
