Mel Gibson / La Voz de Aztlan / Apocalypto

I'm sorry for this recent flood of posts on Mel Gibson, but it has just occurred to me about the connection between Mel and La Voz de Aztlan. This is the group that sponsored the in vino veritas article I recently sent out. It turns out that Mel is now working on his next big thing, Apocalypto. This movie is a glorification of Mayan culture. As such, it is an ego stroke to the Aztlan groups as they view themselves as noble descendants of the Mayans.

Couple this with the fact that Mel and the Aztlanis share a virulent antisemitism and you have an interesting, yet dangerous stew that deserves watching into the future. The connection was made for me in researching my last post when I ran across this gem from the La Voz de Aztlan website: "APOCALYPTO": Gibson's next film and the Mayan year 2012.

The Mel Gibson Outing Brings Out Fellow Travelers...

I have known for a long time that the radical Hispanic groups are virulently antisemitic. When Mel got in trouble the other day, this showed up on one of the most hateful of the sites:

In Vino Veritas

The Messianic world in general has a naive view of how deep we are in to another violent cycle like World War II. I'd like to make sure that we walk forward with confidence, but with our eyes wide open.

The Outing of Mel Gibson

So, back when the The Passion of the Christ was making a stir many of us knew at a gut level that under those kilts hid the dark heart of antisemitism. All that hyper-catholicism has roots. And now it's out on the table. Mel got busted the other day while drunk driving. The good folks in Malibu are desparately trying to protect Saint Mel from all of us, but truth will come out fully. Today we only have four pages of an eight page police report. And they aren't releasing Mel's booking pic (even though they normally do). Must be a real hoot.

Apparently Mel became "belligerent' and "threatened" the deputy, saying "'I'm going to f**k you. You're going to regret you ever did this to me.'" Then, Gibson "blurted out a barrage of anti-Semitic remarks about 'F**king Jews.' Yelled out 'The Jews are responsible for all the wars in the world.' Then asked, 'Are you a Jew?'"

So, for all the Messianics out there who thought Mel Gibson got a raw deal on his last movie.... are you going to pay to see the next one?

Roger Norman Teaching Class on the Lost Tribes

Our friend, Roger Norman, has sent me the following message:

If there is sufficient enrollment, I will be teaching a 12 hour non credit series of classes, six Monday evenings, 7:00-9:00 PM beginning September 25 at TCU via the Extended Education Department on The Lost Tribes of Israel. I would appreciate it if you would let your friends in and around the Metroplex [Dallas/Ft Worth] know. Here is the course description and enrollment information.

Thanks,

Bill here: I’d like to encourage folks to look into this. Roger has spoken a number of times at Shomrei Brit on this subject and I know first hand that he has put a lot of effort into it. Additionally, Roger preceded our visit to Las Lunas earlier this year and he has some good insights into that as well as other evidences of Hebrew presence in the ancient Americas. If you want to contact Roger about this, you can reach him at (817)923-0648.
